Hike Metal Products offers services for clients that expect nothing less than first class quality boats and ships at very competitive prices. We own and operate the most modern, and well equipped shipbuilding facility in the industry and every vessel is built to the highest quality standards, with fully documented inspections and functional testing carried out at our waterfront facilities. Many vessels are required to meet the stringent quality and certification requirements of such classification Authorities as American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and Lloyds Registry (LR).
Hike Metal is extensively qualified in the production of complex designs in both welded steel and aluminum construction. Our patented Harmonic Vibratory Stress Relief Welding Process, used in all custom manufactured Work-Boats, has set the industry extended life standard with our 10 year written Hull Warranties. Every weld is performed by our highly skilled Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certified welders.

- Staff are available at all hours for that one question the customer just needs to know about, we often hand out our personal cell phone numbers so we can talk anytime.
Repairs
- Hike offer a full range of Standard Shipyard repairs based upon Inspections, Failures and/or Customer Concerns.
- Where possible we prefer to have the vessel on site and therefore complete the work under controlled conditions.
- We also offer full-service repairs off-site, but will typically review the scope and provide estimates and costs.
- All Hike Service personnel are fully certified professionals, trained in their specific disciplines, to perform high quality workmanship.
- All repairs are tested and verified where applicable and practical..
- All equipment is certified and calibrated as applicable and required.
- All materials utilized are new, certified, and traceable as applicable.
- Hike fully appreciate the importance of schedules and urgency, and will always provide timely expedited services where practical and applicable.
- Hike will always provide a professional estimate of time and costs for all or any repairs, large or small, as requested or required.

- As you are dealing with a very experienced staff we can help with any retro fit concerns.
- We offer an onsite at your location service evaluation.
- Services are available here at Hike Metal or remotely if the vessel is unable to transit to our facilities.
- There is no vessel or job size limitation to our services.
- Our services are available Canada wide.
- Hike Metal boats are built to last and last, in many cases we have our boats come back to be refurbished completely after 15 years or so.
- With our sales and engineering team we would review all requirements by the customer and evaluate the overall condition of the boat giving them a detailed outline of what is required to bring the boat up to date. This also includes applying all regulatory requirements that may have changed over the years.
- We are often tasked with engine upgrades as they are the main item to be replaced after this many years in service.
- As we have a complete in house staff for every system the customer can be assured of a quality product with the Hike Metal stamp on it.
- As the original builder we have proprietary firsthand knowledge of your boat and can assure it is brought up to the highest standards and class requirements.
- Our Refurbishment plan often allows the customer to get another 15 or so years out of their Hike Metal boat.
- From police patrol boats to commercial fish tugs to Canadian Coast Guard Ice Breakers we do it all.
inspections
- Hike offer and perform a variety of Inspections dependent on Customer Requirements, Regulatory Guidelines, and/or Failures/Problems.
- Hike perform surveys and inspections working closely with Transport Canada and/or Class, to complete Standard Annual or Quadrennial Inspections and Docking.
- Hike perform visual/mechanical/electrical/electronic/general system inspections for failures and/or problem solving and recommendations.
- Hike although trained and certified representatives of many marine product lines, will provide Third-Party Inspectors, OEM Field Service Representatives (FSR’s), or Marine Industry Specialist to support all or any survey and inspection work, so as to provide additional and certified professional validity and confirmation.
- Hike work closely with customers and clients to develop relationships as partners, so as to provide professional inspections, survey, and analysis, for recommended vessel refits/repairs, maintenance, safety, and longevity.
- Hike as requested will provide personnel for Off-Site Inspections and Surveys as may be applicable.
